2010 Breeder's Cup Information
The Breeders cup is one of the most important horse races in the world which invites horses either from the United States and the whole Europe community. This year is taking place on Saturday November the 6th. The place, which is the same for last’s year will be the Santa Anita horse track located in Arcadia, California. The event will be fully broadcasted by ESPN.
This year the strategy to attract more people to the event is lowering the prices. California is one of the most expensive cities over the nation and as a compensation strategy; this time the main entrance fee is going to be $10. That will bring the opportunity for more people to attend the event and also let the people enjoy more of the attractions during the days before to the main race.
The system that is used to rank horses for the competition is a system ranks horses in order of preference based upon performance in Breeders' Cup Challenge Races, a point system, and the judgment of a panel of racing experts. Each year, the judgment of a panel of horse racing experts uses a pre-determined point system in order to achieve a meticulous selection of horses that is based mainly on the general outline rankings and the point standings.
Over the past three years, the Breeders’ Cup World Championships has experienced unprecedented growth, with total races expanding from 8 to 14, and total purses increasing from $14 million to $25.5 million. That is basically the reason why this race is super attractive for the horses that get to run the race. The level is high, but the rewarding is huge compared to other races around the world and the country.
